Firmware update
Gira Project Assistant (GPA) version: 2.5 or later.
It is recommended to always use the latest available GPA version.
ETS configuration and start-up
Configuration and start-up of the device require the start-up software certified by the KNX Association, version ETS4.2.0 or higher. No product database is available for older versions of the ETS.
For ETS start-up of the Gira KNX IP router with firmware version 3.3.8, the ETS application 3.5 must be used. Older ETS applications are incompatible with firmware version 3.3.8.
Improvements and bug fixes
- Adjustment in the KNXnet IP cEMI Frame (Additional Information Block) to improve the communication with devices not certified with KNX.
- Correcting a fault that caused the routing settings (filtering, forwarding, blocking) not to be accepted in connection with the ETS as of version 5.6 with the setting "use direct IP connection if available".
Important note
After the firmware update, the Gira KNX IP router is protected by a device password.
You can find the password on a sticker on the side of the Gira KNX IP router as of index version I14. If no password is noted here (earlier index versions), the password is "device".
Please change the device password during configuration.
