DCS-IP data interface

The DCS-IP data interface connects the Gira 2-wire bus to the IP network. It can be used either as a pure configuration tool or to control convenience functions of the Gira door communication system and other systems (e.g. KNX system). The DCS-IP data interface allows for an easy start-up using Gira Project Assistant (GPA) even if the items to be installed are not yet available on-site. The transfer of data points to building automation is also enabled. Thus, for example, "Leaving Home" or "Coming Home" scenes can be initiated using Gira X1 for an incoming call at the door. The tried and tested pushbutton start-up can also still be used.

The new Gira DCS-IP data interface tool box makes it very easy for you to set parameters for a Gira door communication system together with the GPA from the comfort of your desk. All home stations can be put into operation in just a few steps – without having to traipse up and down the stairs. Further information can be found in the video.

Diverse options

The configuration of the Gira door communication system can be carried out via GPA prior to installation and thus shorten the time needed for configuration. The DCS data interface is used for connection of the analogue 2-wire bus to IP. Additionally, the configuration data of existing systems can be read out. Combination with other product groups is also possible, e.g. door communication with logic module Gira L1 or Gira X1. The central control via IP enables the muting of individual home stations. The occupancy simulation makes it possible, for example, for lights to be switched on in the house if the doorbell is rung while you are not home. This simulates movement in the house.
